Even comic readers don’t really have a clue, myself included. We also learn a tiny bit more about the person in the metal mask that was glimpsed in the trailer, though they remain a mystery overall, and no, we don’t know who is under that mask yet. We also know from the previews that Maggie is returning, but again, it’s sort of an anti-climax as to how she shows up, even if she does prove imminently helpful to save at least three characters that probably would have died otherwise. It’s just not as intense, and it does not produce as meaningful a final result (I won’t speak on who does or doesn’t die here, but it ain’t on the scale of Carl’s eye moment, that’s for sure). Suffice to say that this season 10 scene is similarly dangerous, if not more so because there are also Whisperers in the crowd waiting to stab people they spot, and yet the entire thing doesn’t really match the version of this same scene from all those years ago. You know, the one where Carl lost his eye and Rick left Jesse to get eaten by Walkers? The resulting sequence here is one that mirrors the famous season 6 episode where Rick and Carl made their way through the walker horde that overran Alexandria.
